Riders aged 16 and over can take part in a moderate 27-mile, intermediate 40-mile or a challenging 75-mile route through local villages and country lanes, with all routes starting and ending at the Whittington hospice.

The event will take place on September 2.

Zoe Westwood, events coordinator at St Giles Hospice, said: “Cycle St Giles is always a really popular event and last year we saw 620 cyclists heading out onto the roads for us – raising more than £40,000 for the hospice in the process.

“It’s lovely to see so many enthusiastic riders and the atmosphere on the day when all the cyclists are gathered at the hospice before heading out onto the roads is incredible.

“So we’d invite everyone to come along – not only will our ride be one to remember, you’ll be part of something amazing as you help us raise vital funds to provide care for people in your local community.”

Entry costs £35 per person, which includes a breakfast bap and hot drink, as well as a celebratory BBQ at the finish.
