Lichfield collars crown as city is named as most dog-friendly place in the country

Lichfield has been named as the most dog-friendly place in the UK.

A survey revealed the city had four vets and three dog trainers for every 10,000 people.

It beat Salisbury and Stirling to the top spot, while Chester came out fourth.

The report, commissioned by Lakeland Leather, revealed that Lichfield has 45 facilities for dogs.

1 dog friendly hotel and 1 dog friendly place to eat is not really that dog friendly.

Prepare for the usual moans and groans about the dogs being elderly and having conservative leanings.

Well all the dogs are elderly and I would think at least 75% of them have conservative leanings (like their owners eh Rob)

Kings Head, Queens Head, Horse & Jockey (town centre, not Tamworth Road), Angel Inn, George IV, Earl of Lichfield, BeerBohm, Whippet Inn, Greyhound, George & Dragon are all dog friendly too, as is Faro Lounge. Ive been in them all with my dog anyway! These researchers didn’t do a very thorough job!
