Three candidates will contest a by-election for a vacant seat on Lichfield District Council.
The Stowe ward vacancy came about when Conservative representative Joanne Grange resigned after admitting she had lost faith in the current leadership group in a row over planning policy.
The Conservatives will now have to battle it out with Labour and the Liberal Democrats in a bid to hold on to the seat.
Candidates for the Lichfield District Council Stowe ward by-election:
- Angela Lax (Conservatives)
- Donald Palmer (Labour)
- Richard Rathbone (Liberal Democrats)
The by-election will take place on September 27.
Following the Friarsgate debacle and the last Cllr. wasting their constituents time I do hope that the good residents of Stowe see sense and NOT vote in the Conservative candidate. The council needs far more opposition if it is to truly represent the people of Lichfield & District.
