A group of young people from across Lichfield have been helping to transform part of the gardens at a care home in the city.
They were part of the National Citizenship Service, and worked at The Spires Care Home to create three raised flower beds and add some plants to rooftop terrace area.
A spokesperson said: “They worked with our residents to research what flowers and plants would look beautiful and bring colour and happiness to our residents with some plants having the benefit of being sensory.
“They engaged with some of the residents who accompanied them to the local garden centre and then helped them plant and layout the beds and pots.
“The raised beds and terrace look transformed leaving the residents and team here to maintain them for the future enjoyment of all.
“The young people were friendly, polite and enthusiastic in this project it was a pleasure to have them in our home.”
