A team of staff from a Burntwood building company will be wading through mud, crawling through fire pits and swimming through open water this weekend – all in aid of charity. The 16 employees of Cameron Homes, based in Chasetown, are participating in an X Runner event on Saturday (September 22) in Derbyshire described as the “ultimate adult obstacle course”. Adam Routley, senior technical coordinator of Cameron, explained that the course also included four metre freefalls, monkey bars and 5/10km runs. “We are well and truly putting our neck on the line in the name of fundraising and have already collected over £2,000 for the Let us Play charity,” he said. People can donate via the team’s online fundraising page.
