Voting has opened to elect a new Lichfield councillor in the Stowe ward.
The seat on Lichfield District Council became vacant following the resignation of former Conservative councillor Joanne Grange.
The by-election is being contested by three candidtes:
- Angela Lax (Conservatives)
- Donald Palmer (Labour)
- Richard Rathbone (Liberal Democrats)
Polling stations in the Stowe ward will remain open until 10pm this evening (27th September).
It’s going to be great weather today. All best wishes and good luck to Don Palmer for the District and Robyn Fawcett for the City. We’re all hoping that they both do well for Labour today, to show the Tories that local people are totally fed up with their punishing cuts and disastrous decisions like the Friarsgate fiasco!
The weather has been nice hasn’t it?
Lovely day.
Colin and Rob. Sadly it didn’t help.
