A gutsy mum who set out at the start of the year to take on ten marathons to help fund research into type one diabetes is ready for her final challenge.
Jayne Whitehouse, 43, is hoping with one last push to raise over £3,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation” (JDRF), which is a charity researching to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes.
Her daughter Faith, 13, has had the condition since she was an infant, prompting Jayne, who is a legal secretary at law firm Keelys, to embark on her goal, which she has labelled the 10 for 10 challenge.
“It’s been quite a year, and with the summer we’ve had being so exceptionally hot , it’s certainly tested me in a way I never thought,” said Jayne.
Jayne’s final challenge will be the Leicester marathon on 14th October.
