Police have confirmed that raiders smashed the window of a Lichfield shop in broad daylight before making off with items of jewellery.
The incident happened at City Jewellers on Market Street at around 10.45am.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “The offenders gained access to the premises by smashing a window and making off via the alleyway in Bolt Court with a selection of jewellery.”
Anyone with information can contact police on 101, quoting incident number 204 of 13 November.
Did any police officers actually turn up, or just PCSO’s?
What is the difference between a PCSO and a police officer? PCSOs do not have powers of arrest, cannot interview or process prisoners, cannot investigate crime and do not carry out the more complex and high-risk tasks that police officers perform.
