Workers from a Burntwood building company have raised more than £3,000 for charity.
The fundraising cheque is handed over by Cameron Homes
The team from Chasetown-based Cameron Homes took part in an X Runner event that saw them wade through mud and swim through open water as they challenged themselves against a range of obstacles. Adam Routley, senior technical coordinator of Cameron Homes, said: “We really put our necks on the line in the name of fundraising but it was well worth it as we have collected a grand total of £3,036 for the Let us Play charity. “It was a very challenging event which stretched us to the limits but we all enjoyed it and are very grateful to all our colleagues, friends and family who sponsored us so generously.” The charity provides sports, arts, play and outings for children with special needs and disabilities in Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.
