Burntwood Rotary Club’s fundraising Santa float boosted by support from local business

Santa’s visit to Burntwood has been boosted by support from a local business.

The Burntwood Rotary Club fundraising float has been sponsored by Chasetown-based Cameron Homes.

The organisation will drive Santa around the town collecting donations in the run up to Christmas to help raise money for good causes.

David Henderson, president of Burntwood Rotary Club, said: “We are very grateful to Cameron for their generous donation which has enabled us to ensure the Santa float is brightly lit and newly decorated.

“The vehicle will again bring joy and happiness to many children and parents during the festive period.

“The programme this year runs until December 21 and is packed with tours of housing estates, supermarkets, festival events and our own Tree of Light switch on at Swan Island on 25th November.

“And importantly we use these opportunities to collect funds for worthwhile charities in the Burntwood area.”

Full details of Santa’s route around Burntwood will be available on the Rotary Club’s Facebook page.

Danielle Goffe-Wood, from Cameron Homes, added: “We were happy to hand over a £200 cheque to sponsor the Christmas float as we know it is a popular annual attraction in Burntwood.”
