Lichfield City FC make it 17 goals in just two games with win over Littleton

Lichfield City FC’s rich vein of goalscoring form continued as they smashed eight past Littleton without reply.

Jamie Hawkins’ men made it 17 goals in two games as they blew away the Midland Football League Division One’s basement side.

Joe Hartshorne got the ball rolling with the opener after 15 minutes before James Taylor doubled Lichfield’s advantage.

The goals kept on coming as City went three in front as Taylor bagged his second before the clock had even reached the half-hour mark.

Taylor went close to bagging his hat-trick before the break – but he made no mistake after the interval as Lichfield made it 4-0.

Alex Keating added goals five and six as City ran riot, before Max Black got in on the act with number seven.

There was still time for Keating to wrap up the scoring with a hat-trick of his own.
