Lichfield manufacturers will be given a chance to find out how they may benefit from free support services at an event in the city.

Information about the Manufacturing Growth Programme will be offered at a briefing event at the Brewhouse & Kitchen in Lichfield on 10th May.

Visitors will hear how the national programme aims to support existing supply chains to grow and become world class, while also encouraging new suppliers to establish operations in the local economy.

Funding will support a combination of investment in capital equipment, associated research and development activity, and training and skills development needed to secure, develop and deliver major opportunities.

Jonathan Percival, economic development officer from Lichfield District Council, will open the event. He said: “This event will give manufacturers a detailed insight into the support available for them.

“We want to make it as interactive as possible so companies will be encouraged to ask questions and then book to attend one-to-one meetings with specialists involved in the funds and growth.”
