Preparations are in full swing for the 2019 Lichfield Arts Blues and Jazz Festival.

The event takes place from 30th May to 2nd June.

It kicks off at the Cathedral Hotel with jazz guitarist Remi Harris taking to the stage with bassist Tom Moore.

On 31st May the same venue hosts the Alison Rayner Quintet while the Climax Blues Band will perform at the Guildhall.

The following day features the likes of Tom Hill’s 70s Jazz Funk Machine, The Oxley-Meier Guitar project, Robert Jackson and Steve ‘Big Man’ Clayton.

Individual tickets are available for these concerts, while a bargain £25 Saturday Stroller ticket will give fans all day entry to the concerts.

On 2nd June music will be on offer from the likes of the South Staffordshire Youth Orchestra, The Eagle Jazz Band, Fret and Fiddle, The Escape Committee and local favourites The Sleaze Brothers.

The festival finale will come courtesy of jazz-rock titans Soft Machine at the Guildhall.
