Not wishing to detract from a great event but, the organisation of road closures was simply appalling. I had to drive around Lichfield most of the morning of the race – particularly around Eastern Ave/Stowe pool area. Some of the diversions sent you directly to a closed road! On another occasion, an official told me I was able to turn right into Brownsfield Rd (toward Eastern Ave) however, when I got to Eastern Ave I was unable to turn right (I was trying to get to Lidl).

If this happens again, can we please make sure the raid closures are properly thought out and those “officials” have some sort of airwave comms?
