Graham Hunt will take on the role having previously worked to secure funding for the Chasewater Innovation Centre through the Forest of Mercia Project.

He has also served as a community partnerships officer at Staffordshire County Council.

Graham said: “I am delighted to be working in Burntwood again and it is very excited to be working for the town council.

“While the town faces some challenges, it has many opportunities to improve community life.

“I’m particularly keen to ensure that the town councillors get the support they need to carry out their plans and to ensure that local people have the opportunity to get fully involved.”

New town council leader, Cllr Sue Woodward, added: “I’d like to welcome Graham to this post and I look forward to working together, both staff and councillors, for the benefit of our town.

“I’d also like to thank John Brown for holding the fort at the council during recent months.”
