Beacon Park’s tennis courts are set to be resurfaced.
Planning permission has been sought to relay the four tarmac courts well as realigning them.
The work would also see the installation of new fencing and floodlights.
The application said the courts had now fallen into disrepair to such a state that the existing site needed to be cleared.
As well as tennis, the courts are also regularly used by a local netball group.
The application is being made by Beacon Park Tennis CIO who operate the courts on a long-term lease from Lichfield District Council.
Full details of the plans can be seen on the planning website.
