A newly-refurbished bar in Burntwood has been officially reopened with a new name.
The Burntwood Institute has unveiled the newly-renamed David Rock Bar after a legacy was left to the facility.
A spokesperson said: “David was a resident of Burntwood before he sadly passed away, and had a long association with the institute through his father and mother.
“His father served as our caretaker and was on our committee for many years.
“David fondly remembered his time in the Boys’ Brigade and especially his appearances on stage at the institute performing in pantomime.
“He wanted to leave a donation for a new bar to be installed. A bench and seating area outside has also been installed to remember him and his parents.
“Our committee were very pleased to receive this gift and name the refurbished room in his memory.”
