A group of Lichfield councillors have taken to the streets to find out the issues impacting local residents.
The Labour representatives for the Curborough ward on Lichfield District Council, Cllr Dave Robertson and Cllr Colin Ball, were joined by party colleague on Lichfield City Council, Cllr Matthew Field and local activist Chris Turner for the street surgery.
Cllr Robertson said: “I’ve really enjoyed the regular monthly surgeries we hold. At our latest session we even had a query from a resident in another ward and had to refer on to her own councillors because they don’t hold surgeries.
“The street surgery was fun too. We talked to lots of people and had concerns raised by a dozen or so. These ranged from potholes and parking problems to anti-social behaviour and litter.
“We will be following up all the issues raised and getting back to residents afterwards with an update.”
Cllr Ball added: “I’m pleased with the way that the monthly advice surgeries and regular street surgeries have gone.
“They are a wonderful chance to meet and listen to local residents, so that we can try to help them with any issues that they have.”
