A collection of railway memorabilia is going under the hammer in Lichfield.
Items, including a platform bench slat marked ‘Lichfield Trent Valley’, signal box lever plates f-rom Lichfield City and a LNWR brass bell are among the items up for grabs.
They will be sold at Richard Winterton Auctioneers in the city on 18th July.
Other items going under the hammer include station name boards, locomotive whistles and signal arms, as well as a selection of hats including a station master’s peaked cap emblazoned with gold braid.
Richard Winterton said: “This is an absolute treasure trove for railway buffs in general and those with an interest in Lichfield’s rail history in particular.
“There’s a wide selection of items large and small which range from collectables suitable for sitting on a shelf to signage to set off a model railway to items which would make a superb talking point in a garden.”
