A Burntwood man has been arrested after crack cocaine was seized when his vehicle was stopped by police.

He was held after officers stopped a Vauxhall Vectra on Rugeley Road near Sankey’s Corner at 2pm yesterday (8th July).

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “A 29-year-old man was arrested for possession of class A drugs.”

At 1pm, in an unrelated incident, officers stopped and searched a Peugeot 309 estate in the same area and a 43-year-old man from Cannock was cautioned for possession of cannabis.
