Junior rugby players in Lichfield are set to hone their skills at a training camp run by Leicester Tigers.
The week-long event at Lichfield RUFC runs from 29th July to 2nd August.
Under 7 to under 8 players will have three morning tag rugby sessions between 9.30am and 12.30pm from 29th to 31st July, with the under 9 to under 15 age groups taking part over five full days from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
As well as sessions with qualified coaches, participants will also get the chance to take part in a Q&A session with a Tigers player or coach.
Steve Hanna, community rugby manager at Leicester Tigers, said: “Lichfield is always a popular date in the rugby camps calendar from both the players and coaches perspective, we always have a great turn out and the players enjoy visiting the camp to join in with the session and answer some questions.
“Lichfield are a great community club with a well-supported mini and juniors section who’ve partnered with us for a number of years now. The camp is also attended by players from a number of clubs in the Staffordshire area and even further afield.
“Former Leicester Tigers player and now head coach at Lichfield Dan Hemmingway heads up the camp again this year.
“The camps are all about having fun, getting outside and improving your game – perfect if you’re new to rugby or looking to take your game up a level.”
Suitable for all abilities, players who attend the camp will also receive a free match ticket to Tigers game during the 2019/20 season as well as a branded t-shirt, ball and membership to the Junior Tigers Club.
Players will also receive a hot lunch and refreshments.
Prices for the camp start at £60. To book visit www.leicestertigers.com/rugbycamps or call 0116 319 8888 (option 2).
