Lichfield City FC’s pre-season campaign continued with a heavy midweek defeat against Stafford Rangers.

Jay Hawkins’ men went into the game on the back of a 3-0 defeat against Coleshill Town in their opening friendly.

And things didn’t get any better as they found themselves three goals adrift by the break.

There was no respite after the break either as the higher league visitors continued to push home their advantage,  with the game ending 7-0.

Lichfield will go in search of their first pre-season win – and goal – when they entertain a Walsall XI on Thursday (18th July). Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
