Members of a local charity are set to help cut the ribbon on a new shop in Lichfield.
B&M will open its new store on Imperial Retail Park at 9am on 18th July.
Staff were invited to nominate a local charity to take on the VIP role and opted for the team from the South Staffordshire Mental Health Network, who will be taking centre stage to officially unveil the new store alongside the Cllr Deborah Baker.
In addition to opening the new premises, the team will also receive £250 worth of B&M vouchers to go towards the charity.
Store manager, Kurt Frank, said: “The team at South Staffs Mental Health Network really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community.
“We wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.
“Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open on Thursday and show customers their brand new B&M.”
The new store has created 50 new jobs and will stock products such as toys, food and drink, pet items, homewares, DIY tools and healthy and beauty goods.
