Chasetown FC come from behind to secure friendly win

Chasetown FC came from behind to secure a pre-season win at Hanley Town.

After a goalless first half, The Scholars thought they should have had a penalty when Liam Kirton was held down by the goalkeeper.

But nothing was given – and Hanley went straight up the other end and took the lead.

Chasetown levelled when George Cater picked out Kirton with an exquisite pass and he finished with a smart finish.

Cater then added the second with a well taken goal with just the goalkeeper to beat.

Hanley squandered a chance to grab a draw when they fired a penalty wide of the post.
