Passengers in Lichfield are being warned of another day of weather-related train disruption.
West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway are advising passengers to check before they travel today (26th July) after overnight works to repair damage caused by yesterday’s heat.
Passengers are being warned of shorter trains and cancellations throughout the day, with some early services of the cross city line already axed.
Commuters for Birmingham New Street from Lichfield are also being diverted via Tamworth this morning due to a broken down train.
A spokesperson for the train operators said: “We are encouraging anyone whose journey was delayed by 15 minutes or more to claim delay repay compensation.”
