Students at Nether Stowe School are celebrating after securing their places at universities across the country.

Among the school’s success stories were head student Joe Manning, who secured an A and two B grades to earn a place at the University of Manchester studying engineering and maths.

Joe said: “I am delighted to receive my grades and to be able to confirm my place at university.

“I wouldn’t have got here without the hard work and dedication of everyone at Nether Stowe – thank you for making it such a great experience.”

Head of Sixth Form, Hannah Riley, stated, ‘we are so pleased with the hard work of our students and the results they have achieve. They should be rightly proud of their efforts and their excellent grades. There have been some outstanding individual performances and it is really gratifying to see a group of students with great ambition go on to be so successful’.

Headteacher, Glyn Langston-Jones, added: “We are incredibly proud of the hard work of our students and staff.

“The fantastic successes this year are down to the outstanding teamwork and brilliant work ethic of our sixth form.

“Nether Stowe is a really special place to be and one of the main strengths of our sixth form is our size and the outstanding individual support we provide to each student.

“It’s really pleasing to see students going off to prestigious universities and entering the next exciting phase in their lives.
