Lichfield musicians still have time to book a slot in Buskers’ Corner at next month’s Huddlesford Heritage Gathering.
The event, on 21st and 22nd September 21, brings together historic and private boats, floating traders and classic vehicles, with exhibitors on the field at Lichfield Cruising Club in Huddlesford.
The biennial event, jointly organised by Lichfield and Hatherton canals Restoration Trust and Lichfield Cruising Club, has music, entertainment, food and an all-day bar.
Buskers’ Corner is open to all professional and amateur musicians and is under cover with straw bales as seats.
Musicians have to book their 15-minute slot at online, then turn up and play. They can book more than one slot but not more than two consecutively.
Buskers’ Corner is acoustic only and, as the Gathering is a fundraising event for Lichfield and Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust, all buskers must pay the usual entry fee to the event.
Huddlesford Heritage Gathering, which attracted over 6,000 visitors in 2017, is open to visitors from 10am to 5pm on both days. Entry is £5 with free parking.
