Former Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley is performing in the city to support the Lichfield Festival.
The event’s patron will help raise funds with the concert at Lichfield Cathedral on 3rd December.
The singer has also donated his fee for the show to St Giles Hospice.
Tony said: “It is such a privilege to be able to perform in the magnificent Lichfield Cathedral.
“It’s going to be a wonderful evening that will also raise money for two very important causes.
“The band and I are really looking forward to it.”
The concert will be a warm-up to Tony’s 40-date UK tour next year.
Chair of Lichfield Festival, Helen Wiser, said: “It’s been a delight to have Tony on board as a patron and we are thrilled that he has agreed to support the festival and St Giles Hospice in such a generous way.
“The concert will be a brilliant and very special start to the festive season.”
General booking begins on 11th October via www.lichfieldfestival.org or by calling 01543 306150.
