A new contemporary choir is launching in Lichfield.

Men and women are invited to join Got 2 Sing – which now runs 15 adult choirs across the country – when the first session takes place on 8th October at Nether Stowe School.

Choir leader Gladstone Wilson said a free taster session would give everyone the chance to find out more about the new group, which he hoped would appeal to local adults.

“The children are back to school and now it’s ‘me time’ many a mom and dad can be heard saying,” Gladstone said.

“So it’s time to focus on your health and happiness, to do something for yourself – to recoup that feel good factor and joining a choir can bring as many, if not more, benefits than joining the local gym.

“We are not just a traditional stand behind the music type of choir – we sing and we have lots of fun in the process. We take popular songs, including motown, pop and gospel and bring them to life with harmony and simple movement.

“You don’t have to be brilliant at singing or able to read music – we would just love you to join us and share in the fun.”

The free taster session takes place at 7.30pm on 8th October and anyone interested can turn up on the night for the 90 minute session.

  1. Good news. Gladstone is rated highly. He was with The Garrick some years ago, & created the 1st Youth Choir there.
