Nineteen employees from Wincanton for Screwfix at Fradley Park will join the 13.1 mile Great Birmingham Run in aid of St Giles Hospice on 13th October.

Wincanton for Screwfix training manager, Gez Prendergast, said the team were keen to support the charity’s work.

“St Giles Hospice is a charity that is very close to the hearts of our staff as many people know someone who has been supported by the hospice in the past and you never know when your loved ones may need their help,” he said.

“We’re looking forward to taking up this challenge and running a half marathon through Birmingham and would urge other businesses to join us in supporting this great local cause.”

Sally Insley, community and corporate fundraising manager at St Giles Hospice, said: “We are delighted to hear that Wincanton will be joining Team St Giles at the Great Birmingham Run.

“We are truly grateful for the ongoing support of Wincanton, from welcoming our volunteers for a special lunch last December through to hosting a sponsored cycle earlier this year.

“It’s wonderful to see how Wincanton continues to champion St Giles Hospice.”

People can support the team’s efforts via their online fundraising page.
