Organisers of a ‘pop-up’ jazz night in Lichfield are pulling out all the stops in a bid to take the audience on a candlelit journey through the glory days of music.
Hattie By Starlight is the first such event from Let Me In Presents at St Mary’s in the city centre.
Surrounded by cabaret style seating, vintage jazz memorabilia, fine wines and live music, the evening will feature Hattie Rumsey.
She’ll be joined by a magnificent house band led by Tom Alderson, Lewis Heeley and Kyle Allen – as well as a wide array of special guest musicians.
The evening will feature timeless classics and hidden gems, including music from Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and Louis Armstrong.
Hattie said: “Over the years, my musical interest has always been centred around jazz and it has become such an inspiration to me and my future within the music world.
“It has always been a dream of mine to create an evening such as this and have the opportunity to perform alongside such talented musicians. I’m eternally grateful to all those who have helped make this happen.
“Following the style of the era and music, the evening will have an authentic jazz club vibe with candlelit tables, vinyl records and great wine served throughout the night.
“I cannot wait to share my love for this music to every person possible in a venue that is so beautiful and so close to my heart.”
The company is aiming to transport the audience to another time, in order to get the most out of the night. A smart formal dress code is recommended, but not compulsory.
The event is on 3rd November at 7.30pm. To book visit letmeinpresents.eventbrite.co.uk.
