A new Post Office has opened in Lichfield.

Based in the Costcutter store on Chapel Lane, the branch will offer a range of postal and other services, including cash withdrawals and balance enquiries.

The new Post Office will be open from 7am to 8pm every day.

Graham Simmons, Post Office area network change manager, said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for customers to pay their bills, withdraw cash from their bank accounts, and send and collect their mail at a time and place that suits them best.

“We know how important our services are to customers, and are confident that this brand new Post Office alongside others in Lichfield will ensure that people in this area have easy access to our services.”

Pleased to read that this is happening, although hardley new. Until several years ago there was a post office at this site for decades until funnily enough, the post office shut it down.
