A Lichfield musuem will be turning back the clock for a Christmas event.
The Staffordshire Regiment Museum in Whittington will have re-enactors showcasing how the festive period was marked by troops during the First World War and Second World War, as well as on the home front.
A spokesperson said:
“Will there be a truce in the trenches between the Tommies and the Germans? Or maybe you can hear the enemy singing across no man’s land from the fire step as you stand and keep watch?
“Beware though – if the Luftwaffe decide to drop some unwanted Christmas presents, you may have to take cover in our public air raid shelter.”

No tickets are required for the event on Saturday (14th December), which also features Christmas craft activities for children.
