  1. I was at the Referendum count and it was clear that Burntwood voted heavily for Brexit, as much as 90% in some polling districts. What was never clear, even to me as a long-standing Labour activist, was what Labour’s position on Brexit was. We’ve paid the price for trying to play both sides against the wishes of our long-standing supporters.

  2. Not just Brexit to blame, though. Anyone who’s been out and about listening to what voters in Burntwood have been saying – particularly long-standing Labour voters – know that too.
