Life might not be normal because of the coronavirus lockdown, but Lichfield and Burntwood are still showing their best sides as people take part in their daily exercise.

So Lichfield Live decided to showcase the best of the district by posting your photographs of our area.

There’s still time to get your pictures added – either tag @lichfieldlive on Twitter or email them to yournews@lichfieldlive.co.uk, or post them on our Facebook page.

  1. Lichfield is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. I’ve often wanted to see Shugborough as I shuttled up and down the motorway between London and Carlisle where I hail from, and last year I ended in Lichfield. WHAT a BEAUTIFUL city!! I am very proud of my own city hometown -founded at the same time as London was founded by the Romans – but Lchfield took my breath away. Quintessentially English, you expect Miss Marple to emerge out of one of the olde world tea shops, complete with wicker shopping basket and straw hat. I had the added obvious advantage of a local guide who gave me a personal tour of the historic sites if the city – (don’t be shy Kevin Lynch – asset to tourism for Lichfield!,). Intended incorporate a visit to Lichfield in my annual pilgrimage to Stratford upon Avon – sadly not possible this year. Beautiful, magical place -you expect the Queen of Hearts to be playing croquet by the Minster Pool! And the Cathedral – stunning! Go there! It’s fabulous!
