Armed Forces Day has been marked by the laying of a wreath at the National Memorial Arboretum.

Planned events at the Alrewas site had to be cancelled because of coronavirus.

But the occasion was marked at the Armed Forces Memorial this morning (27th June).

A spokesperson said:

“We laid a wreath to remember members of the Armed Forces community no longer with us – thank you for your service and sacrifice.

“We will remember them.”
