The sounds of Lichfield Cathedral Chorus will return when they perform Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem next month.
The vocal group will be at Lichfield Cathedral on 18th June.
Written soon after his mother’s death in 1865, the work by Brahms is based on the text of the Lutheran Bible.
A spokesperson said:
“Lichfield Cathedral Chorus last sang the work in the magnificent setting of Rouen Cathedral in Northern France in 2017.
“Come and join us for what promises to be an unforgettable and thought-provoking evening as we bring the work back to Lichfield under the baton of Ben Lamb and in Brahms’ own arrangement for chorus, soloists and piano duet.”Lichfield Cathedral Chorus spokesperson
