Witnesses are being urged to come forward after a man died in a multi-vehicle crash in Mile Oak.
Emergency services were called to the slip road of the A5 and the A453 at 5.20pm yesterday (24th May).
The initial crash involved a white Scania HGV, a black Volkswagen Up and a white Ford Fiesta.
A number of other vehicles in the queue of traffic were also involved in the collision.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said:
“Sadly, despite the best efforts of medical staff, a 76-year-old local man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Specialist officers are supporting his family at this difficult time.
“A number of other occupants from the vehicles involved were assessed and treated at the scene.
“The occupants of the Fiesta were transported by land ambulance to hospital.
We would like to speak to any witnesses or those who may have dashcam footage of the collision, or the vehicles in question, prior to the incident.”
