The wet weather failed to dampen the celebrations as residents in Hammerwich turned out to enjoy the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The event was based at Hammerwich Cricket Club but also saw other local organisations taking part.
A spokesperson for Hammerwich Parish Council said:
Traditional activities including tombola, stalls
“Despite the cold and wet, many attractions were overwhelmed with the turnout.
“Traditional village activities including a tombola, guess the weight of the cake, name the teddy bear, guess how many beans in a jar, monster raffle, craft stalls and face painting recreated the 1950s Coronation Day celebrations.
“A lot of money was also raised for a number of worthy charities.”
