Plans for five new properties to be built in Fazeley have been approved.

Land at Woodfield Close has been earmarked for the four bedroom properties.

A planning statement said the plot would be capable of accommodating the new homes.

“The site is uncommonly large for one dwelling. It is surrounded by housing and buffered by a thin strip of land between the road and the site.

“The demolition of the brick wall fronting the highway will ensure that the future development will have active frontages and ensure good continuity between the street scene and the site.

“The open space, created by the demolished wall, will minimise hidden alcoves and recesses where anti-social behaviour may occur.”
