Lichfield District Council is reopening its doors to the public for the first time in almost three years.

The offices at Frog Lane were shuttered to visitors when the Covid pandemic began.

But Cllr Doug Pullen, leader of the local authority, confirmed that face-to-face appointments would again be offered from Monday (27th June).

“We’re very pleased to welcome residents back into our offices.

“We know Covid was a challenging time for everyone but it did force us to develop better online, self-service and over the phone solutions.

“Our digital solutions are available 24 hours a day and we’re improving the services available over the phone. However, we know some people need a more personal service, or have complex support needs and for those individuals, we want our new face-to-face offer to be friendly and welcoming.

“So, we have taken the time to give our front door a new look and feel, to make it a more pleasant place to work and visit.”

Cllr Doug Pullen, Lichfield District Council

The council offices will be open from 9am to 5pm weekdays and appointments can be made by emailing enquiries@lichfielddc.gov.uk or calling 01543 308000.

Face to face appointments?

It’s a shame Fabricant can’t be bothered to do the same. Then again, he couldn’t be bothered before the pandemic either.

He must be the ONLY that MP that refuses to meet with constituents. I’ve tried a few times to meet him over various issues – all I ever get is “I have to prioritise my time, and am unable to meet you”.

Why do people continue to vote for this lazy man?
