People are being asked to help shape plans for a new business support hub in Lichfield.

The proposals will see parts of Lichfield District Council’s offices on Frog Lane to be repurposed as a base for small enterprises.

The facility could feature aspects such as meeting rooms, hotdesking spaces and other functions when it opens later this year.

Lichfield District Council is hosting open evenings in the council chamber to give business owners the chance to tour the building and help identify the facilities needed to support their work.

Jonathan Percival, economic development officer at Lichfield District Council, said:

“Our decision to create a business hub at District Council House has had a great response.

“With its central location, ideally situated for transport links, it offers small businesses and start-ups the perfect base from which to flourish.

“We are looking forward to welcoming businesses to the open evenings so that we can provide more detail and ask what facilities they think are missing from Lichfield city centre.

“We will then look to provide them at the business support hub.”

Jonathan Percival, Lichfield District Council
