A new bus service has launched to take Aston Villa fans in Burntwood to home games.

It was rolled out for the first time for the weekend’s match against Manchester City.

The Chaserider bus will be in operation for all future Premier League weekend games and call at locations including Morrisons, Swan Island and Chasetown.

More details on the timetable are available online.

Any plans for a bus service from Lichfield to villa park on match days, as the train service is shocking.

Who would want to reach Villa Park? Go watch Birmingham City or failing that, Lichfield City.

Why as buses have to be subsidized get the football players to put one on for you

@ ML. I would imagine it is not subsidised because it is commercially viable. Large numbers of people to/from a single fixed destination for a certain known time – doing what buses do well. Anyway it goes out of County and I cannot see a social need for CC funding here!

Does anyone know where at Swan Island, Burntwood, the bus picks up for Villa fans please? Presumably at one of the bus stops – but which one?
