County council chiefs have confirmed that Lichfield Library will no longer take part in a project offering free hot drinks to visitors.
A number of sites across Staffordshire will be taking part in the scheme.
But a Staffordshire County Council spokesperson said that although Lichfield had initially been listed, the library would not be able to offer the .
“Unfortunately, Lichfield Library is unable to take part in the offer of the free hot drinks as previously stated.
“However, staff and volunteers are keen to remind people that there’s always a warm welcome at the library with advice on the range of support and services available there.”

The Places of Welcome scheme takes place at Lichfield Library every Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm.
