The Lichfield Greenhill Bower was back with a bang with plenty of sun and fun.
The traditional procession took place through the city centre featuring music, dancers and floats from local community groups.
The fun continued with a funfair and attractions in Beacon Park.

An excellent procession……very happy atmosphere….and as the report says ‘lots of fun and sun’
An absolutely perfect day for the Bower- a super parade thanks to the hard work of many local people including leaders of the participating groups. It was good to see so many children and young folks involved.
Living on Chrrry orchard , it is always interesting to see the float set up and organisation which this year worked well with double stacking.
Marching Bands were the highlight of my 3yr old grandsons day – we spent the day seeing them set up and watching the first pass on Green Hill and then nipping contra-flo to see them all twice more!! The ’Grenadiers’ were his highlight but well done everyone for a great Bower this year.
I personally was touched by the decorations on the back of the Queens float which I noticed as I pushed a very tired boy back along Cherry Orchard . What a day.
