A local road will be temporary closed as part of preparation works for HS2.

A utilities survey will take place on Flats Lane in Swinfen on 5th and 6th June.

It will mean a temporary closure of the road between 9.30am and 3pm each day.

Access to properties will be maintained throughout.

How are they planning this, more distrubtion, when works by the old Whittington Barracks as stopped and cabins taken away

I think they have got to carry on with the tunnel under the A38, passed the point of no return
But I think the only high speed will be if they let pedestrians use it instead of crossing the A38, as their diversion for footpath now

The Streethay sliproad closed in October 2022 for 12 months: Considering it is going to be reopen within the next 5 months there is a heck of a lot of work to be done!

#StopHS2, it’s unwanted and not needed and it’s making innocent people’s lives a misery!

I thought they said 18 months?

I’ve just checked: 15 months from 1st August 2022. So it will reopen on 1st November this year. Not a day too soon: An extra 4 or 5 miles every working day for 15 months adds up.
