A newly-elected MP says it was “an honour” to be officially sworn in.

Labour’s Sarah Edwards claimed victory in the by-election for the Tamworth constituency – which include areas such as Fazeley, Stonnall and Shenstone – last week.

She officially took up her seat in the House of Commons this week.

She said:

“It was an honour to take my oath of allegiance to the Crown and be sworn in as a Member of Parliament.

“To the people of Tamworth and the villages, regardless of which way you voted – I will work tirelessly to be your voice.”

The new MP replaced Christopher Pincher who resigned after being suspended for groping two men in a London club.

Let’s hope the MP uses the short time available to show that’s she’s a valued MP to her continuincy as opposed to the other local MP

Shame she doesn’t actually live in Tamworth. But hopefully she turns the town around and will bring it back to what it used to be

After trying for many years by sending photos and videos of the constant flooding opposite the Anker Co-op / Rosewood Court Glascote road with the gulley drains full of debris, let’s now see if this party can correct the situation the last party couldn’t.

Do not get too comfortable in your temporary residence flat.
The way your Boss is performing you will not be there next year
You fail to mention 37% turn out on a wet day of those 37% well over 50% did not vote for you.
Best of luck
