A TEENAGER has had his bag taken from him during a robbery in Lichfield city centre.

The incident happened at around 4.15pm yesterday (10 August) in the alleyway between the B&M store and Iceland shop on Market Street.

Police say a group of seven teenagers are believed to have been involved in the robbery.

Anyone with information can contact officers on 101, quoting incident 745 of 10th August.

This alleyway should be shut. I’ve always thought it was rife for such incidents. I would never use it.

@AnnS. Where would the B and M fire escape door open onto if the alley was closed? How would people get to to the Bird Street car park from Market Street in the evening other than going round via Dam Street or Bird Street when B and M is closed

Alley has been there for years 50 plus to my knowledge.
Thankfully this isolated incident is rare to our City.
