A LICHFIELD pantomime is supporting a collection for a charity helping vulnerable children.

Nurture Community CIC and the Lichfield Garrick have teamed up to back The Buddy Bag Foundation, which provides essential items for youngsters entering emergency care.

During the run of Jack and the Beanstalk at the city theatre, people can leave a book or £5 Costa voucher under the Christmas tree.

Paper and scissors will be available at the box office to wrap gifts or people can pre-wrap, but are asked to label them with the appropriate age range and gender.

All donations will be collected by The Buddy Bag Foundation and used throughout 2025.

Karen Williams, founder of The Buddy Bag Foundation:

“The sad reality is that domestic abuse has been on the rise, leaving more children in vulnerable situations than ever before.

“Every Buddy Bag makes a lasting difference by providing comfort, dignity, and a sense of security.

“This Christmas, give the gift that keeps giving in 2025, and help us bring a little more hope to children in emergency care.”

Each filled Buddy Bag contains items including toiletries, pyjamas, underwear and comfort items.
