LICHFIELD Ladies’ Red team found Cheltenham too tough a test as they went down 57-14.

The visiting city side scored two tries in the first half through their centres Bryany Chalk and Eleanor Udall, both converted by Ellie Turner, to keep the score to 24-14 just before half time.

But as they did at Cooke Fields, Cheltenham pressed the accelerator as the half was ending and seven points were accrued to change the game.

Four more tries followed after the break for the home side on their 4G pitch to give the game a rather one-sided feel to it.

Lichfield had possession and pressure, yet could not convert them into points.
